Jeremiah Jacks is currently serving as music educator for the Loomis Union School District, and has been teaching music since 2000, joining the Loomis family in 2018. In addition to his work as a music educator, Mr. Jacks has served as General Music Representative for CMEA Bay Section (California Music Educators Association), President of the Marin Music Educators Association and President of the American River Orff-Schulwerk Association. He has been a guest conductor for Sugarloaf Band Camp and Donner Mine Music Camp. He currently serves as Director of Music for Donner Mine Music Camp.  Mr. Jacks’ Concert Bands and Jazz ensembles have consistently received ratings of Unanimous Superior at festivals across California and Nevada. 

Mr. Jacks currently serves as Rural Music Educators’ Representative on the CMEA State Council.  He has completed his level III Orff-Certification and has studied Orff-Schulwerk with Doug Goodkin, Sophia Lopez-Ibor, Rick Layton, James Harding, and Christa Coogan, among others. Mr. Jacks received the "Outstanding General Music Educator" award from CMEA Bay Section in January, 2014. Mr. Jacks was also awarded "Music Educator of the Year" by the Marin Symphony in 2014.

Jodi Pabst joined the Loomis district music team in 2022, and is grateful for the warm welcome at all school sites!  She has been teaching since 1998, and has performed across the US - from the Kamehameha School in Oahu, HI to Carnegie Hall in New York City. Mrs. Pabst's favorite performances include singing with the vocal group RSVP ("Let it Be" video to the left), acting the role of Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast" at the Woodland Opera House, and singing lead vocals for "The Instructors" rock band with Rockstar Academy in Lincoln. Mrs. Pabst also teaches classes for CYT (Christian Youth Theatre) and was the Music Director for their production of “Mary Poppins” in February 2025. She also enjoys helping lead worship music at church. Mrs. Pabst has 3 creative daughters that keep her very busy.  She enjoys camping, swimming, sailing, and all things crafty in her spare time.

Johnny Sandler

Johnny Sandler is a Trumpet performer and educator in the Central Valley and Northern California. He obtained his Bachelors in Music Education from Fresno State in 2021. He has studied under many influencial educators, most notably, MJ Wamhoff, Dr. Gary Gilroy, Dr. Nathan Sobieralski, Dr. Tony Mowrer, and Dr. Emily Mason. He currently serves as a Tk-8 music teacher at Franklin Elementary in Loomis,CA where he teaches general music and band. Johnny also serves as the Logistics Coordinator for the California All State Music Education Conference. 

In his free time, Mr. Sandler enjoys spending time with his Cats and Dogs, Hiking, or spending time with his family.

Mrs. Abele started working in LUSD in 2023. She is extremely excited to be teaching in a district where there is high value in the arts and arts education. Prior to teaching in Loomis, Mrs. Abele taught 1st-5th grade general music as well as Middle School Choir in Los Gatos, CA from 2008-2018. During that time, she was awarded the Goldin Foundation Award for Excellence in Education. 

Mrs. Abele received her Orff Schulerk certification through the San Francisco International Course in 2009 under the direction of Doug Goodkin, Sofia Lopez-Ibor, Paul Cribari, Christa Coogan, Richard Layton, and others. She has also studied for a year at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria. Studying with 14 music educators from around the world, Mrs. Abele earned her Advanced Degree in Music and Dance Education- Orff Schulwerk.

Mateo Dillaway

Mateo Dillaway is thrilled to be the 5th and 6th grade Band Director for Loomis Grammar, H. Clarke Powers, Penryn and Ophir Elementary, the director for Concert Band North, and the 4th grade General Music teacher for H. Clarke Powers and Loomis Grammar.  He has performed professionally as a percussionist for the past 21 years in the greater Bay Area and Sacramento area in everything from Pop, Jazz, Musicals and Rock to serving as the Percussion Section Leader of the San Francisco Wind Symphony, and actively performs with Sacramento local symphonies.

Mr. Dillaway served the San Rafael community for seven years teaching Band, Guitar, Steel Pans and Brazilian Marching Band at Venetia Valley K-8 in San Rafael, California, and spent one year teaching at Anne McKenney Middle School in Marysville, California. In San Rafael, also he also served the greater community as President of the Marin Music Educators Association from 2016 to 2020 and served on the California Music Educators Association Bay Section Board from 2016-2018, served as the Percussion Coach of the Santa Rosa Youth Symphony, and organized several Honor Bands, music teacher inservices and community events.
